The key to all of our super soothing balms is in the ingredients. We use copious amounts of Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil along with the fabulously emollient Castor Bean Oil and honey fragranced Golden Yellow Beeswax that is simply melted, filtered and poured. Our balms are safe
and easy to use and they leave your skin feeling refreshed, fragrant and silky smooth.

How badger began……Back in 1993, I was a carpenter with cracked fingers from the harsh New England winter. I also loved working with herbs and natural remedies. This turned out to be a fortunate coincidence. As fate would have it, I went into my kitchen and mixed up a batch of what later became Badger Balm.
My fingers were healed and a new business was My fingers were healed and a new business was born! That’s where Badger comes from. Simple natural preparations made from organic, wildcrafted or otherwise ecologically produced materials, formulated with care by us.

Olive Oil
Badger’s USDA Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from a single estate in Southern Spain, and that very same Olive Oil is used by Michelin Star-winning chefs in France and Spain! In fact, all of the Badgers eat the very same Olive Oil in Badger’s organic lunches, and many of us purchase it to use in our home kitchens

Castor Oil
Castor Oil is a soothing emollient, cold-pressed from Castor “Beans.” The Castor plant is a semi-tropical shrub whose common name is “Palma Christi” or “Palm of Christ.” Castor Beans are poisonous, but Castor Oil is not. The toxic part of the bean is water-soluble and is not present in the oil.

Beeswax
Traditionally Processed Wax – Certified Organic Pure Golden Beeswax reduces moisture loss from the skin and has an almost immediate soothing effect on skin cracks and splits. It has a sweet honey-like fragrance and a golden Colour. We use Beeswax as a natural thickener in all of our balms.
