(5 customer reviews)

£14.95

Protein Formula 3 for Nails, I hydrate, alternative to nailtiques Formula 3. Exciting new launch for nails. 15ml.

Product Description

Protein Formula for Nails 3, I Hydrate, substitute for nailtiques Protein Formula 3. All Protein Formulas are vegan and cruelty free.

I Hydrate. Nails are dry and flaky, they snap and break at a low point in the nail plate. If you have dry skin and dry hair your nail type will generally be the same. Strong, dehydrated and occasionally ridged, these nails break easily due to lack of moisture. They tend to break lower down the free edge and often at the side wall, they can often look flaky and lose their healthy pink colour. Nails need a surge of moisture and hydration.

With added Glycerin and Probiotic. Glycerin acts as a nail hardener and also increases the water content in the nail. Complex Probiotic’s help preserve the natural microflora in your nails.

Which nail type is it for?
Hard, dehydrated nails prone to splitting.

Why you need it
Sophisticated and breathable Protein Formula 3 contains a rich concentration of AHA’s and Panthenol to help hydrate the nails and increase nail flexibility, defending the nails from brittleness and breakage. Active moisturising plant keratin proteins and Glycerin combine to leave the nails feeling conditioned and healthy. The breathable formulation allows oxygen and hydration to pass through the Protein Formula and condition the nails. Nail conditioners can also pass more easily through breathable formula’s.  Nails also need moisture and conditioning from nail oil or cream, click here for nail oil category.

Your Protein Formula for Nails I Hydrate is excellent. It has stopped my nails from chipping and breaking. 5 stars for that product. I used to use Nailtiques, which was equally brilliant, but that has vanished. I am exceedingly grateful to you for the nail treatment. It is the only thing that works and I have 10 lovely nails to show for it!

  4. Tracey Winstone (verified owner)

Fabulous replacement for Nailtiques formulas Thank you. After months of horrendously dry ridged nails (due to long term medication) they are back to almost normal and I have just ordered Formula 1 for maintenance. Like the previous lady I always used nailtiques as it was the only thing that worked for my nails I’m so grateful to you Claire for giving us this just as good if not better replacement range to use Thank you again

    Hi Clare

This is my review as promised- apologies for the lengthy delay.

So, I am post menopausal and suffer with dry nails, some are ridged and those ridges split from the top of the nail down the nail bed- opening up like a zip, they have been like that for a few years and the splits catch on everything and despite filing the split out it just gets worse, splitting again further down the nail. Over the years I have used plasters, sellotape, glue but nothing worked until I discovered by chance, the blog written by Clare in September.

Following a disastrous first dabble with gel my nails were at their very worst and I purchased the strip of silk and protein fro. Clare. Following Clare’s advice, and the protein instructions, for 3 months my nails are the best they have ever been.

I add the protein every other day over 7 days and inbetween I massage nail oil into the nail beds, after 7 days I remove and start over again. I have kept the application of varnish to a minimum, special occasionsonly, and I keep the nail oil in my bath robe so it is handy every night i massage it in whilst I sit and watching tv. I use the silk to cover the splits and put the protein and varnish when used over the top, the silk covers really well – no glue – the protein makes it stick. You need very sharp nail scissors to cut tiny pieces of the silk, it’s a bit fiddly and you have to take your time but the results are worth it. I wear gloves for washing up, housework and now washing my hair to protect my nails. Clare said it would likely take 3 months and it has! There is no quick fix and it takes time and ongoing commitment but it is worth it so give it a try.
